The Hypocrites are out…..

Why can’t people let go of the past. The Mike Vick boycott in Cortland New York brings this post I’m writing to mind. People are still persecuting Vick over his crimes for dog fighting and killing the wounded dogs. I myself am over it and feel that the issue is being overblown by critics who just have nothing better to do than criticize others. Mike Vick did his time and paid his dues to society.  He like many others was a victim of an obsessive act he committed that was cruel and wrong. In many countries they have cockfighting which is two roosters fighting each-other and people bet big money on it. They kill the losing roster and most likely will have soup the next day with it. Either way it’s cruel, but wait a minute don’t we have boxing?  Where ‘people beat their brains out in an arena and people bet money to watch and enjoy the brutal sport. Yes we do. The difference is the other boxer isn’t killed, but he is pretty much killing himself as his fighting career continues. Well ok don’t forgive the man, but aren’t they forgetting something? Mike Vick is a black man and I maybe it’s easier for some people to continue to hate him. How about we go back 4 to five decades when Black people where being beaten, killed, and mistreated over the color of their skin. There’s a picture of a hung black man on a tree and a young white girl standing their smiling while others are gloating. I wonder if any of those people paid for that crime, or the Ku Klux Klan bombing of black churches killing several young black children. The list can go on and on. I guess that was forgiven. My point is many cruel things have happened in this world and we as people have learned to forgive and forget. If people can forgive that and any other Americans who were mistreated than everybody must forgive Mick Vick. . I myself was being called a nigger at the age of 7 while attending an all white school. I have many white friends today and some of those white kids from school are on my FaceBook as friends. This was said by one of Gods best messengers that ever walked the earth ‘Let he who has not sin cast the first stone’ Jesus. I’m also a Jet fan and proud to see Vick doing fine, giving back to the community and doing a good job as an NFL quarterback…..
