Its my Birthday and I feel like a child, but I’m 52 and counting.

What a great birthday I had today. It first started with work.  My beloved friend and employee surprised me with a cake. After work I had a Cuban sandwich at my old restaurant where I use to fill the atmosphere with great aromas of my great tasting food. I ended  my day at my friend Gilbert’s house. There I saw the group who use to fill my restaurant with family and friends. I only felt happiness as they played meringue, an old tune of “Suavemente” by Elvis Crespo. That song can still make you want to dance. It was great to share with them the time I did. I also talked to someone I haven’t talk to in 38 years “Papo”  It was also great to hear from him an addition to all my friends on Facebook,  I thank you all for your responses of happy birthday. Today I’m 52, but feel like 22! I can remember when I was very young.  I couldn’t wait to be old enough to be on my own. How I would love to take that back, But what I would love to share is how quickly time goes by. As you get older and get into debt you are always rushing payday. You rush so much that what you are really doing is getting older and not enjoying your time. Rush, rush, rush, is what life can come to if not careful. Before you know it you are 40, than 45, than 50 and on go your life. You start to wonder what happen. You bring back memories of yesteryears and try to relive the past that you enjoyed, but you continue to get older and older! The remedy is? Live one day at a time and forget the future. For the future is not promised only your present time is. I want to thank God for the all the good things I have like family, friends, and life. I could only acknowledge what I have and not what I don’t have, and as I see it I have plenty.

May all your dreams come alive in 2013 :0)
